500 events to be held in Akmola rgn to mark Year of People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan
The briefing's participants spoke about the Republican campaign called "20 good deeds", activities of the regional assembly, its plans for 2015. It bears to remind that February 6 Mayor of Astana Adilbek Dzhaksybekov handed the symbol of the relay of the Assembly "20 good deeds" to Akmola region at the ceremony of the start of the Year of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan in Astana. Thus, the region continued the charity event "Meyіrіm" - "Mercy" which aims at supporting low-income families with many children. There have been also launched charity campaigns - "Ainalaiyn", "Heart to heart", "Harry up for good deeds!" which support orphanages and homes for elderly, large families and people with disabilities. In addition, ethnic and cultural associations of the region plan to carry out patriotic campaigns dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. Akmola region will hold a festival of friendship under the initiative of the youth wing of the organization. The relay called "20 good deeds" and its symbol "Taikazan" was solemnly handed over to representatives of North-Kazakhstan region of the country. In general, more than 500 events will be held in Akmola region to mark the Year of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. Their main goal is to strengthen unity of the peoples, consolidation of society around the policy of peace and accords, demonstration of the fundamental principle of Kazakhstan's model of interethnic tolerance and social accord initiated by the Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev.
