53 investment projects included in Productivity 2020 Program

ASTANA. June 26. KAZINFORM - As of June 20, the program "Productivity 2020" includes 53 investment projects from 15 regions of Kazakhstan and eight industries, according to the press service of JSC "Kazakhstan Industry Development Institute", Kazakh Prime Minister website informs.

For the entire period of the program implementation, the total cost of projects amounted to 154.3 billion tenge, in 2013 - 1.8 million tenge.

In general, there were approved 16 projects in building materials industry, 14 projects in machine-building, 6 projects in agro-industrial sector, 5 projects in chemical industry, 4 - in the pharmaceutical industry, 4 - in woodworking , 3 – in energy sector, 2 – in metallurgy.

The program "Productivity 2020", which has been carried out in Kazakhstan since 2011, is aimed at upgrading existing technology, industrial and management cycles, and creating competitive industries. The program is designed to increase labor productivity in the manufacturing sector 1.5 times by 2015 and 2 times by 2020 as well as to increase the average capacity utilization of the Program participants up to 80%.
