5.5 MPV magnitude quake shakes China

The network of seismic stations of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry recorded an earthquake at 00:17, Kazinform News Agency reports.

It was centered 256 km southeast of Almaty in China.

The quake energy class is 11.6. The 5.5 MPV magnitude quake occurred at a depth of 5 km.

No tremors were felt in Kazakhstan.
