55 years of Kazakhstan media holding founding

ASTANA. March 7. KAZINFORM - March 8, 2013 the largest media holding "Kazakhstan" marks its 55 years since the foundation. First National Kazakhstan TV channel, leading its history to 1958, was at the birth of the Kazakh television.

In the early days of its appearance it was a weekly five-hour television broadcast. Infrastructure of TV significantly developed, and the technical capabilities improved. By 1987 the volume of "Kazakhstan" television was the fourth largest of all the Union republics, and for the production of films and documentaries it took the second place.

At present "Kazakhstan" TV channel is the largest media resource. Technical equipment allows broadcasting of nearly 100% of Kazakhstan, as well as the border regions of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia and China.

One of the most important achievements of the channel is the undisputed leader among the rest of the media space to promote and popularize the national language. On 1 September 2011 the "Kazakstan" TV channel switched to 100 percent broadcasting in Kazakh. In fact, the channel is also the leader for the production of its own projects which constitute at least 87% of total broadcasting.

Today's broadcast TV programs are of all genres: entertaining and educational ones for people of all ages, news and original talk shows, political and economic programs and the projects aimed at promoting the national language. Each viewer can find something useful and interesting.

At present "Kazakhstan" is a dynamic television occupying a leading position in the production of television entertainment programs, documentaries and feature television series, and one of the leaders in the information and communication space.

December 24, 2012 the Kazakhstan National TV channel began broadcasting from Kazmediacentre. On all the technological stages of the media center there is modern equipment from leading manufacturers like «Sony», «Omneon», «Dalet», «Pharos», «Everts», «Apple», and «Avid".
