5G subscriptions surge 37% in third quarter of 2024 in Jordan
Subscriptions to 5G services recorded a significant increase of 37% during the third quarter of 2024, according to the latest indicators released by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan on Monday, Petra reports.
The report highlighted that the total number of mobile broadband subscribers had reached approximately 8 million by mid-year, reflecting the growing adoption of advanced communication technologies across the kingdom.
The number of mobile 5G subscriptions rose to over 70,000 during the third quarter, supported by the deployment of more than 2,300 5G towers nationwide, marking substantial progress in the network’s infrastructure.
Looking ahead, the TRC projects that 5G services will cover more than 50% of the population by early 2027, underscoring ongoing efforts to expand network accessibility and connectivity.
Earlier it was reported that Jordan's national exports grew by 4%, reducing trade deficit in January-October 2024.
