6.3-magnitude quake hits Bonin Islands, Japan region -- USGS

NEW YORK. December 23. KAZINFORM An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale jolted Bonin Islands, Japan region at 21:49:38 GMT on Wednesday, a day after a strong quake hit the same region, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said; Kazinform refers to China Daily.

The quake struck at 7:49:38 a.m. local time on Thursday, 146 km from Chichi-Shima, Bonin Islands with a depth of 10 km, the USGS said.

There is no immediate report of any damages or injuries; Kazinform cites China Daily.
