6 Kazakh wrestlers pocket gold at international freestyle wrestling tournament
A major international freestyle wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of the famous Kazakh-Soviet statesman and public figure Dinmukhamed Konayev has ended in Taraz, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Olympic.kz.
The tournament brought together wrestlers from Kazakhstan, the US, Kyrgyzstan, Australia, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Russia, Mongolia, China, and Tajikistan.
The winners of the wrestling tournaments are as follows:
57 kg: Rakhat Kalzhan (Kazakhstan)
61 kg: Meirambek Kartbay (Kazakhstan)
65 kg: Adil Ospanov (Kazakhstan)
70 kg: Ernazar Akmataliev (Kyrgyzstan)
74 kg: David Aaron (USA)
79 kg: Suldkhuu Olonbayar (Mongolia)
86 kg: Bolat Sakaev (Kazakhstan)
92 kg: Azamat Dauletbekov (Kazakhstan)
97 kg: Jonathan Aiello (USA)
125 kg: Serik Bakytkhanov (Kazakhstan)
It was earlier reported that the Kazakhstani athletes had claimed 13 medals, including four gold, six silver and three bronze ones, at the 10th Asia-Pacific Deaf Games in Kuala Lumpur.
