6 new Astana schools to welcome pupils next year

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Education system development is one of the priorities on the country's way to joining the top 30 most developed countries of the world. One of the urgent issues is to provide kids aged 3-6 with preschool education and eliminate the lack of schools to teach two shifts a day, astana.kz reports.

It is planned to commission this year nine new schools for 10,700 seats in Astana. Construction of six schools for 5,575 seats, and two 800-seat vocational colleges will be completed next year. Three schools will open their doors by the yearend. Besides, six new kindergartens will be commissioned this year, another 8 for 1,960 seats will be put into service later.
