60 transport projects worth KZT 2.5 trln to be implemented by 2015 countrywide - Minister Kussainov

sp;KARAGANDA.  December 7. KAZINFORM  /Valentina Yelizarova/ 60 projects to the sum of KZT 2.5 trln are planned to be implemented within the Transport Strategy of Kazakhstan by 2015. Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kussainov voiced these data at a conference in Karaganda oblast Akimat regarding the issues of development of the region's infrastructure.

Six investment projects worth KZT 1.1 trln were included in the country's Basic Industrialization Map within the forced industrial-innovative development policy, the Minister noted. Three of them relate to autoroad sector, two ones are realized in railway sector and one project regards civil aviation.

"Some projects have already been put into service in 2009. These are the projects on reconstruction of Astana-Shuchinsk highway and Karataban-Beineu section of Atyrau-Aktau highway", Kussainov reminded.

Western Europe-Western China transit corridor is expected to be reconstructed by 2014. Construction of new railroad lines Uzen-state border with Turkmenistan and Korgas-Zhetygen is to be finished by 2011 and 2012 correspondingly. These projects were launched in 2009. A new air terminal is being erected in Atyrau.
