61st session of CIS Defense Ministers' Council convened in Almaty
MATY. November 17. KAZINFORM /Berik Bekmurzayev/ "Activity of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member countries contributed to successful formation of national armed forces, establishment of close cooperation between the CIS armies in the interest of internal and common security," Russia's Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov told today the Council's 61st session in Almaty.
The ministers debated above 20 issues concerning multilateral partnership, analyzed the work of the bodies of the CIS Defense Ministers' Council for 2011 and the action plan for 2012.
Delegations of defense ministries of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine took part in it.
