6.2M quake felt in Almaty

An earthquake was recorded 122km away from Almaty city in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, Kazinform correspondent reports. 

A quake measured 6.2 on the MPV scale was recorded in neighboring Kyrgyzstan 122km south of Almaty city at 3:30 am on October 1 local time.

The earthquake hit at a depth of 10km.

No reports of damages have been made. 

Earlier it was reported that a quake hit 276km southeast of Almaty city.
