66.2 thsd unemployed registered in Kyrgyzstan

There are 66.2 thousand registered unemployed in Kyrgyzstan, according to the material of the National Statistics Committee, Kabar reports. 

The document states that according to the Ministry of Labor, the number of unemployed people registered with the state employment service in search of work as of February 1, 2024 amounted to 90.5 thousand people, which is 6% less than the same date last year , of which 66.2 thousand people are registered unemployed, or 8.5% less.

Of the total number of registered unemployed, 44.2% were women.

The level of registered unemployment in the total labor force was 2.4%.
