68 thsd citizens in Kyrgyzstan receive access to clean water since beginning of year

The state institution "Development of drinking water supply and sanitation" has completed construction work and commissioned facilities in 14 villages and provided drinking water to 68 thousand citizens, the Ministry of Agriculture reported, Kabar reports. 

To date, a project financed by the World Bank is being implemented, which covers 95 villages in the Osh, Chui and Issyk-Kul regions, of which 68 villages have already been provided with drinking water.

Active work is underway to complete a project financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, covering 7 villages of the Kurshab, Myrza-Ake and Don-Bulak rural districts of the Uzgen district of the Osh region.

At present, design, estimate and construction work is being carried out in 260 villages, financed from the republican budget.
