734,000 employed in Kazakhstan in 9M2023

734,000 people have been employed across Kazakhstan in January-September 2023 under the regional employment maps. This is what Minister of Labour and Social Protection Svetlana Zhakupova said at the Government’s weekly session today, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The akimats of the regions have approved 20 regional employment maps, according to the Minister.

“These maps include concrete measures of ensuring employment within the implementation of national projects, the Presidential initiative “100 jobs per 10,000 population,” state-subsidized jobs, employers’ vacancies and labour mobility of the population,” Svetlana Zhakupova said.

More than 947,000 people are set to be employed under the regional employment maps, she added.

“734,000 people have been employed in January-September 2023, which is 77% of the annual rate,” the Minister said and noted that 50% of them are young people.
