75 Kazakhstanis awarded with state scholarships in culture
Kazakh State Counselor Erlan Karin awarded eminent figures of culture and art with the state scholarships in culture, Akorda reports.
Among the awardees were 75 figures of literature and art.
The annual culture scholarship is a demonstration of support and care of the state of culture and art figures, creative workers and young talents as well as a sign of respect for their contribution to the promotion of Kazakhstan’s culture and its popularization worldwide.
Those awarded with the scholarship include Cannes Film Festival winner Samal Yesslyamova, ballet dancer Tatyana Ten, opera soloist Maksat Samatov and others.
The scholarship seeks to encourage promotion of the country’s culture and art as well as realization of new ideas and projects.
As reported, the Head of State had decreed to award culture scholarships in 2024.
