77 schools opened their doors in Kazakhstan this year

77 new secondary schools for 78,500 pupils’ places opened their doors in Kazakhstan as of October 1, 2023, Kazinform Agency quotes the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry’s press service.

154 schools for 132,000 seats will be commissioned countrywide by the yearend. Of which 62 for 76,738 schoolchildren will be backed by the education infrastructure support foundation. The new schools will help solve the problem of three-shift learning at 29 schools and 12 schools in disrepair. Most of the schools are situated in Turkistan region, West Kazakhstan, regions, Astana city, Kyzylorda and Zhambyl regions, etc.

Besides, the construction of 217 schools will start this year as part of the Comfortable School national project. They will open by the end of 2024.

396 comfortable schools for 740,000 seats will be constricted in Kazakhstan according to the task of the Kazakh President at large.
