7th session of World Islamic Economic Forum to be held in Astana

ASTANA. November 8. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to Malaysia Baibut Atamkulov and Chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Tun Musa Hitam held a joint press conference in Kuala Lumpur, the Kazakh Embassy reports.

Holding of the seventh session of the WIFE on June 7-9, 2011 in Astana was officially announced at the event. One of the reasons for choosing the country as the hosting place was successful and dynamic development of the economy of Kazakhstan.

According to the WIFE Chairman, the forum titled "Globalization growth: interrelation, competition, cooperation" is aimed at mobilization of Muslim and non-Muslim countries to more economic independence through multilateral strategic cooperation.

The Kazakh Ambassador in is turn focused on the opportunity to use the Forum as a dialogue platform on the issues of investments attraction to OIC member states, innovative technologies development, experience exchange in the Islamic banking and Halal-industry, creation of favorable conditions for development and financing of small and medium business, etc. Forums of businesswomen and young leaders are planned to be held prior to the main sessions of the Forum.
