7th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana to be held at high level - Tun Musa Hitam
The meeting with World Islamic Economic Forum Chairman Tun Musa Hitam has been held today in the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan. The sides discussed the process of preparation for holding the Forum in June.
Tun Musa Hitam expressed hope that the World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana would become one of the most productive forums. The guest noted that while in Kazakhstan he saw the great economic potential of the country, bright future for many sectors, especially tourism.
As was earlier reported, the World Islamic Economic Forum of 2011 will be held in Astana. Thus, Kazakhstan is going to become the first state in Central Asia to host this Forum. The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies in association with the secretariat of the World Islamic Economic Forum (Kuala Lumpur city, Malaysia) are the organizers of the event.
The agenda for this Forum will be 'Global economic development: relations, competition, cooperation'.
Around 30 active and former Heads of State, Governments and representatives of international organizations as well as businessmen, experts, scientists and public figures are expected to take part in the Forum.
