The semifinal stage at the ASBC Asian Elite Men Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai has been completed, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A total of 9 out of 10 Kazakh boxers cruised into the finals of the tournament.

48 kg: Sanzhar Tashkenbay defeated Kazuma Aratake of Japan;

54 kg: Makhmud Sabyrkhan won against Sarawut Sukthet of Thailand;

57 kg: Orazbek Assylkulov beat Lundaa Gantumur of Mongolia;

67 kg: Dulat Bekbauov defeated Shukrat Salomatov of Tajikistan;

71kg: Ablaikhan Zhussupov knocked Tajik athlete Shokhobzhon Shukurov out of the tournament;

75 kg: Dias Molzhigitov secured a victory against Pavlo Illiusha of Ukraine;

86 kg: Bekzad Nurdauletov propelled to the finals beating Danylo Zhasan of Ukraine;

92 kg: Sagyndyk Togambay claimed an early win, leaving the Chinese boxer with the bronze medal.

+ 92 kg: Aibek Oralbay deprived Jakhongir Zokirov of Uzbekistan of a chance for gold.

Only Yerassyl Zhakpekov lost to Turabek Khabibullaev of Uzbekistan.

The ASBC Asian Elite Men Boxing Championships finals are set to run on December 11.
