95 housing facilities will be ready to move in till end '09

ASTANA. August 25. KAZINFORM. /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ "Construction of ninety-five housing facilities will be accomplished before the end of the year in Astana", Akim Imangali Tasmagambetov said Tuesday while surveying the urban development progress and utilization of funds allocated for realization of the state program of housing development for 2008-2010.

The surveylance commission with the akim in the head visited six residential estates and a multy-apartment building.

"When the crisis emerged there were 266 residential estates under construction and more than 37, 000 home investors in Astana . As of January 1, 2009 there were 128 housing estates; 65 of them will have been finished by January 1, 2010. 28 facilities have already been put into service. 65 more will be commissioned by the year-end", I. Tasmagambetov noted.

In whole, the Akim expressed satisfaction with the progress of construction works.

Thus, till the end of this year over 1.25 million square meters of housing will be taken into use in Astana.
