A 1,200-seat school opens its doors in Zhambyl region

A new 1,200-seat school opened its doors in Taraz city, Zhambyl region, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the governor’s press service. It is the fourth educational establishment to open this year in the region.

It is the first state school in the Uly Dala (The Great Steppe) residential area under construction. Over 25,000 people, including 2,314 school-aged kids are living there.

3.1 billion tenge was allocated for its construction from the republican budget. It has laboratories, language laboratories, a 350-seat assembly hall, a 400-seat canteen, workshops, and 56 classrooms equipped with interactive boards. 58 teachers will teach at the new school.

Three more schools for 4,400 pupils are being built there. Their construction will be completed next year.

There are 483 educational facilities in the region, including five special and 27 private schools. 13 schools for 9,500 seats will be constructed in the region by 2025 under the Comfortable School national project.
