A/H1N1 flu virus claims 4th victim in Hungary

BUDAPEST. October 16. KAZINFORM. The A/H1N1 flu virus has claimed a fourth victim in Hungary, a 47-year-old man, the country's Health Minister Tamas Szekely announced Thursday; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

    The man had died of pneumonia, a complication of an upper respiratory bacterial and virus infection, and an autopsy confirmed the presence of the A/H1N1 virus in his body, Szekely told a press conference.

    Earlier, Szekely had said that there had been 283 confirmed cases of the new flu in Hungary to date and that a vaccine would be available to the general public within two weeks.

      Chief medical officer Ferenc Falus said that 14 people had been hospitalized in Hungary because of the A/H1N1 flu since mid-September; Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.news.xinhuanet.com for full version.
