New dormitories for students open in Kazakh capital
The Head of State visited today new dormitories for students, Master’s Degree and PhD students in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The 2,656-bed dormitories of the Eurasian National University built through the Public Private Partnership consist of three blocks. Each of them has coworking areas, libraries, gyms that create conformable conditions for students.
The Kazakh Science and Higher Education Minister reported to the President on the establishment of an academic hub in Kazakhstan through opening branches of foreign universities and providing students with accommodation at dormitories.
Last year Kazakhstan commissioned 40 dormitories for 11,079 students. Seven more for 3,400 beds will be built in Astana in 2025.
As of today the Eurasian National University has eight students’ homes for 4,280 beds and cooperates with eight private dormitories.
As earlier reported, the Head of State visited today the KIS Astana international school, QazSwimAcademy as part of his working trip.
