Abay and Pushkin readings held in Karaganda on occasion of Constitution Day
The admirers of Pushkin's poetry have gathered near his monument today whereas theatrical actors and school students took part in the event. A day before Abay readings were held near his monument. Both events were dedicated to the Constitution Day.
All the events united the representatives of different nations. Abay's poems were read in Kazakh, Russian, English, German, French, Arabian and Urdu languages whereas poems of Pushkin were read in Kazakh, Belarusian, French, German and English languages.
'Free microphone' was also given to any volunteer who wished to read Pushkin's poems. "It is symbolically that the readings are held at the same time. Our country is multinational and the heroes of different nations are respected equally", - organizer of Abay readings, laureate of Daryn prize Zauresh Satvaldinova said.
