Abel Sanchez: Golovkin is ready to fight Carl Froch in the UK

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - If WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24 KOs) is looking for a big fight later this year after he recovers from his elbow injury then he might want to consider a bout against undefeated WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (32-0, 29 KOs), Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.

Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez says that GGG's team is interested in the Froch fight, and is ready to fly over to the UK to take the fight if he's keen on it, according to Boxingnews24.com. Froch doesn't have an opponent for his next fight, which he says he'd like to do in the summer. The guy he wanted to meet in the ring - Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, is already scheduled to fight Andrzej Fonfara on April 18th, and there's no way that Chavez Jr will be able to fight in the summer. "Froch's promoter Eddie Hearn is a good friend of Tom Loeffler. All Hearn has to do is draft a contract. We're willing to go to England," Abel Sanchez said. "I'm sure Tom would be willing to make a lot of concessions, and Gennady too. That is the kind of fight that is worthy of pay-per-view."
