About 200 children getting treatment for measles in Astana

Measles cases are rising in Astana, with about 200 children undergoing treatment in the Municipal Children’s Hospital of Infectious Diseases. Most of them are unvaccinated, Kazinform News Agency cites the city mayor’s office.

Eight stations of admission of patients were opened in the hospital. Children from a high-risk group are served out of turn.

As reported, infants aged from 6 to 10 months and 29 days are being immunized additionally against measles. Additional vaccination of children aged from 2 to 4 years will be carried out in December.
