About 900 thousand Kazakhstan at risk to lose their jobs: Labor Minister

ASTANA. January 26. KAZINFORM Approximately 900 thousand out of 15 mln 700 thousand Kazakhstanis are at risk to lose their jobs. The groups with average risk include 3 mln 400 thousand people. 11 mln 400 thousand people are in groups with no risk of unemployment. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Berdibek Saparbayev has made it public at a telephone conference today, Kazinform reports.

?According to an analysis, ore-mining and processing sectors are most risky sectors. 774 thousand people are engaged in it?, the Minister said. This group also includes companies specializing in distribution of gas, water and electricity as well as the enterprises working in construction, trade, and transport and communications sphere. About 3 mln people are involved in this sphere at present. As the Minister stressed, staff of state enterprises and organizations that numbers 1 mln 700 thousand people as well as of agriculture enterprises with about 2 mln 400 thousand personnel is not supposed to be reduced.
