About 92% of victims of domestic violence in Kyrgyzstan are women

 In 2022, about 10 thousand people, most of whom (92%) were women, applied to crisis centers and other specialized institutions providing socio-psychological assistance to the population regarding cases of domestic violence, the country's National Statistics Committee, Kabar reports. 

The majority of victims of domestic violence and those who applied to crisis centers and other specialized institutions in 2022 were young women aged 18-34 years (39%), women of older age categories apply less often.
