Above 566,000 foreign tourists visited Kazakhstan this January - June

566,500 foreign tourists visited Kazakhstan in January – June this year that is 50,700 more compared to the same period of the previous year, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Statistics Bureau.

The number of travelers from CIS and non-CIS countries is growing year after year, the Kazakh Tourism and Sports Ministry says.

The greatest number of tourists arrived in Kazakhstan from Russia up to 186,100 followed by China with 69,918. India rounds out the top three with 53,695 tourists. Türkiye and the U.S. rank among the top five with 30,312 and 19,597 travelers, respectively.

The growth in foreign tourists from India, Türkiye and the U.S. proves that Kazakhstan has become more attractive in the global tourism market. Kazakhstan continues to develop its tourist infrastructure and create favorable conditions for travelers from around the world, head of the tourism industry committee Nurtas Karipbayev said.
