ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM Kazakh Secretary of State Marat Tazhin led a sitting of the itizenship committee under the Kazakh President, which have considered the numerous appeals of persons wishing to become citizens of Kazakhstan, and a number of migration policy issues.

"Over 880 thousand people have appealed to obtain citizenship of Kazakhstan since time of independence. This indicates the increased prestige of the Kazakhstan Institute for Citizenship, the prestige of the social system of our society, the high culture of interethnic communication, and social and political stability of the established state," Marat Tazhin said.
