Accident at 'Fukushima' should become lesson for nuclear industry - Kazakh PM

ASTANA. March 30. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ The accident at Japanese Fukushima nuclear power plant should be a lesson not a deterrent for the nuclear industry, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov thinks.

"I think that this industry must develop and the accident at Japanese nuclear plant must become a lesson to learn from for the whole industry," the Prime Minister notes.

The program on development of nuclear power for 2014 implies the construction of the first nuclear plant in Kazakhstan. "Taking into account the Japanese tragedy I pay much attention to the way we choose to go as a state," K. Massimov said.
