Acute heart failure caused death of young footballer in Pavlodar

PAVLODAR. KAZINFORM - A 15-year-old football player has died on the pitch in Pavlodar following an acute heart failure, Kazinform has learnt from FC Irtysh's press service.

As reported earlier, the young footballer collapsed face down during the Tuesday training (July 29) and appeared to be unconscious. Paramedics rushed to his side and did their best to help the boy, but he could not be revived. The autopsy later showed that the teenager died of acute heart failure. According to coach Nikolay Razdobudko, the 15-year-old had no health problems. "All boys on the team undergo mandatory cardiac screening since they are engaged in organized sport," he added. This is the second tragic case involving a young athlete in the Pavlodar region this year. In May, 14-year-old Kuanysh Zhumabai was injured in sparring at one of Ekibastuz sports complexes. The young boxer fell into coma right after the accident and later passed away at a local hospital.
