Additional allowances to teachers' salary to be introduced this year - Minister

ASTANA. March 29. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Additional allowances to teachers' salary are to be introduced this year.

Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov has announced it at the governmental session today.

"This year, in addition to a 30-percent salary increase for all public employees, additional allowances to teachers' salary will be introduced," B.Zhumagulov said.

According to him, from September 1, 2011 teachers of the highest category will receive a 100-percent surcharge to a basic official salary for qualification. Allowances are also provided for all other categories of teachers.

"More than KZT 5 bln will be allocated for these purposes this year," the Minister noted.
