African lions for the first time ever touch snow in Kazakhstan
Workers of the Almaty Zoo built a snowman for two African lions living there, Kazinform News Agency cites the Zoo's press service.
It is snowing hard today in Almaty. We have decided to build a snowman for two lions, Arsik and Lily. Guess how long it lives? One, two, three… But the key is not how long the snowman lives but that the African lions touched snow for the first time ever, the Zoo said in an Instagram post.
As earlier reported, a rarely-seen snow leopard and a lynx were caught on trail cameras at the Kolsay Lakes National Nature Park.
