Agency for Natural Monopolies Regulation rejected almost half of 877 tariffs in 2008

KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova / In 2008 the Natural Monopolies Regulation Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan rejected 443 tariffs for services of the subjects of natural monopolies out of 877 applied for approval. The head of the Agency Nurlan Aldabergenov said this on today?s collegium of NMRA, Kazinform reports. ?In the course of 12 months of 2008 the subjects of natural monopolies applied 877 tariffs for approval, out of them 443 were rejected?, N.Aldabergenov reports.

According to the Agency data, by the results of examination 434 projects tariffs were left on the level of current 70 tariffs, 38 were approved with decrease, 326 were approved with increase, including 48 tariffs approved for 23 basic SNM.
