Agreements worth $50 mln signed at Kyrgyz-Chinese business forum in Xi'an
The Kyrgyz-Chinese business forum was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China, Kabar reports.
The National Investment Agency reported that the forum was devoted to discussing current issues of cooperation in such areas as agriculture, industry, energy, tourism, technology and investment.
The forum participants were able to get acquainted with successful examples of business projects implemented in Kyrgyzstan and China, discuss opportunities for creating joint ventures and establish direct contacts.
More than 200 delegates took part in this event, including representatives of ministries and departments, as well as entrepreneurs of the two countries interested in expanding export-import operations and finding new partners.
"We are confident that this forum will become an important platform for creating effective business contacts between Kyrgyz and Chinese entrepreneurs, which, in turn, will contribute to increasing the volume of bilateral trade and attracting investment to the Kyrgyz Republic," Deputy Director of the National Agency Bikulov said.
As a result of this event, 10 documents on trade and investment cooperation worth more than 50 million US dollars were signed.
The forum contributed to the implementation of the One Belt, One Road initiative, as well as deepening the economic partnership between the states, which is a priority in the framework of bilateral relations.
