Agricultural output decreases in EAEU

 In January-August 2023, there was a 1.9% decrease in the agricultural output in the Eurasian Economic Union in year-over-year, Kazinform Agency reports.

According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, the harvest of grain in the original recorded weight rose 21.3%, however, it dropped 21.2% in Belarus, 40.5% in Kyrgyzstan, and 12.4% in Russia.

In the said period of this year, the EAEU saw increases in the production of the main animal husbandry products: cattle and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) by 2.3%, milk by 3%, and eggs by 1.4% compared to the same period of last year.

Earlier it was informed that 13 regions of Kazakhstan had reported surge in flour prices.
