'Air Astana' opens new international routes

ALMATY. November 17. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ The national carrier 'Air Astana' company opens new routes from Almaty, Astana and Atyrau to Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkey. It was announced in Almaty at the press conference.

The first flight to Dushanbe is planned on November 21, Aktau-Istanbul-Aktau flight is planned on November 28. There are also several new flights scheduled for December. Thus, the flight Almaty-Tashkent is to be conducted on December 2. The same day is going to be the first day for the route Almaty-St. Petersburg and on December 8 the flight Yekaterinburg-Astana-Yekaterinburg is also planned.

'We have tried to multiply the number of flights in the Central Asian region over the last years. It has been an integral part of the company's strategy set for becoming a role player in this business', President of the company Peter Foster said.

'New routes will let our passengers feel free in choosing their destinations and save time and money. Besides, 'Air Astana' as the national carrier plays an important role in strengthening business and cultural relations between the countries', P. Foster emphasized.
