Akhmetov holds session on development of agglomerations in Aktobe
Minister of Regional Development B.Zhamishev, akim of the region A.Mukhambetov took part in the meeting.
"The region has been successfully implementing the program of forced industrial-innovative development and has a high potential for agricultural development," Serik Akhmetov noted.
According to the Prime Minister "it is necessary to systematically step by step develop all agglomerations."
"This applies to the creation of a unified transport system, energy and determination of primary industry specialization both of a core city and settlements under its zone of influence," Akhmetov said.
Regarding the development of Aktobe agglomeration, Akhmetov focused on "the formation of the regional center as agglomeration with preset parameters and correspondent with international standards." According to the Prime Minister, this is extremely important given the favorable geographic location and natural resources of the region.
The meeting also discussed the issues of socio-economic development of the region.
The Prime Minister gave instructions concerning the implementation of big investment projects, creation of conditions for increasing the share of SMEs in gross regional product, creation of a network of new processing enterprises in the agricultural sector.
