Akim of Almaly district of Almaty reports on 2008 results

ALMATY. January, 19. KAZINFORM /Dauren Zhailin/ 2, 410 jobs have been created in the district during the past period representing 101.4 per cent of the annual plan. Akim of Almaly district Marat Prinbekov informed of it at the reporting meeting with population in Almaty, Kazinform correspondent reports.

As M. Prinbekov noted stability in the work of industrial enterprises and small businesses contributed to a good level of tax revenues. Taxes in the budget in 2008 amounted to KZT 147.2 bln presenting 105.6 per cent of predicted indexes. Out of them the national budget got KZT 112.5 bln and the local budget -KZT 34.7 bln. The volume of output amounted to KZT 51.3 bln presenting 83.3 per cent against the same period of the last year. About 60 per cent of medium and large enterprises of the district have a fairly high growth in production. 446 industrial operating enterprises were registered in the district at present including 37 large and medium enterprises. The number of workers in large and medium enterprises is 9, 200 people. The average monthly wage has reached KZT 88,744 or 115.6 per cent against the same period of the last year. According to the Akim, active policy of employment was carried out in the district during 2008. Poor people received assistance in temporary employment for the district community. Totally, 560 people were employed, 65 out of them received social work and 100 people of targeted group were also employed. 571 people participated in social work.
