Akmola region introduces high-tech robot inspector
A robot-inspector equipped with cameras and sensors has been introduced in the Akmola region to enhance the efficiency of sewer maintenance Kazinform News Agency reports.
The device provides high-precision images and enables detailed analysis of pipelines, identifying defects in sewer pipes with diameters ranging from 300 to 1000 mm.
During the ceremony, akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov handed over the robot along with keys to specialized equipment, including a fuel oil tanker, a multifunctional KamAZ, farm and passenger Gazelles, as well as JAC and Haval pickups.
“The transfer of new equipment will be an important step in the development of the region’s public utility infrastructure and the improvement of the material and technical base,” officials noted.
The new-tech addition reflects Kazakhstan’s growing focus on technological innovation. Earlier, a robot dog designed to improve mine safety was unveiled at the Astana Hub technology park.
