Aktau, Balkhash authorities working to restore heating

The collapses of operations of central heating systems were reported in two cities of Kazakhstan, Aktau and Balkhash, this weekend, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Work is underway to restore heating in both cities.

Akim (mayor) of Aktau Ulugbek Tnaliyev keeps the situation with the heating in the city under his personal control.

Moreover, akim (governor) of Mangistau region Nurlan Nogayev chaired an emergency meeting with heads of public utilities and competent government agencies to deal with the situation.

Aktau mayor Ulugbek Tnaliyev claimed the repair works are underway, adding that governor Nogayev personally visited the scene of the heating system collapse and the emergency meeting approved a plan to deal with the situation.

As for Balkhash, a collapse of the heating system left 28 houses without heating. 10 employees and 5 equipment units of Balkhash zhylu LLP are involved in the repair works in the city. Balkhash mayor Sapar Satayev is monitoring the emergency situation.
