Aktobe governor condoles with families of Shymkent plane crash victims

AKTOBE. December 31. KAZINFORM Governor of Aktobe region paid visits to families of servicemen killed in the fatal plane crash near Shymkent to extend his condolences, the press service of the regional administration informs.

Two of 27 victims were residents of Aktobe region, namely Asuan Aitmanbetov and Anatoly Filipko.

Governor Arkhimed Mukhambetov visited the Aitmanbetovs in Aktobe and the Filipkos in Alginsk district. Both families received financial aid in the amount of 1 million tenge.

As reported earlier, the plane crash that claimed lives of 27 people, including 20 servicemen and 7 crew members took place on December 25. A special panel investigates the accident. The plane was landing in icing conditions, according to Chairman of the National Security Committee Nurtai Abykayev.
