Aktobe region cooperates with Russia's 47 regions - governor
Governor of Kazakhstan's Aktobe region Askhat Shakharov addressed the plenary session of the XX Forum of Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Forum on Thursday, Kazinform News Agency reports.
In his remarks, Shakharov noted that Aktobe region is a large agrarian and industrial region. From January through September 2024, the region's commodity turnover increased by 23% compared to the same period in 2023, he added.
In his words, the region actively cooperates with Russia's 47 regions, with Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg regions being the major partners.
According to the governor, the project of establishment of a special economic zone with a logistics hub in the territory of the airport as well as the project of Sagarchin border checkpoint modernization will significantly impact the region's economy.
Earlier, Kazinform reported that Russia's Novosibirsk region plans to open new productions in Kazakhstan's Pavlodar region.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between North Kazakhstan region and Russia’s regions reached 480 million US dollars, 3.5% up
