Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrates 75th anniversary

The concert became a finishing touch of all celebration fests dedicated to the jubilee of the leader of Kazakhstan?s higher education. The management of the jubilee-university, teaching staff, employees and students, as well as numerous guests took part in this grand celebration. The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the biggest scientific and education center in Kazakhstan, it was established January 15, 1934. KasNU occupies the first place in the rating of multi-profile universities of the country. Over 16 thousand students study at the University. The University has 14 faculties with 80 specialties. The leading classical university of Kazakhstan with a special status is a national leader in innovation development, post-graduate education and science, the first, among higher establishments, laureate of the Kazakh President Premium ?For achievements in quality?. Nowadays KazNU successfully collaborates with over 418 major world universities; it is a member of the International, European and Eurasian associations of the universities. Having signed Magna Carta Universities in 2003 in Bologna (Italy), KazNU was the first among the universities of Kazakhstan and CA countries to enter the European and global education community within the Bologna process. The University continues to grow and develop. Under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev the second stage of the university campus is under construction; the material and technical basis of the university has been significantly upgraded.
