Al-Hilal Bank financed 7 projects worth USD 23 mln in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. January 11. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ 7 projects worth USD 23 mln have been financed by Al-Hilal Bank over its 9-month work in Kazakhstan, Kazinform cites Chairman of the Executive Board of the Bank Prasad Abraham as saying.

"Earlier, we financed 7 projects to the amount of USD 23 mln. Currently we consider the same number of the projects estimated approximately at USD 25 mln-30 mln", Prasad Abraham informed.

According to him, these projects relate to oil, railway, food and construction industries.

Al-Hilal Islamic Bank, fully owned by Abu-Dhabi Government, started working in our country in March 2010 within the Intergovernmental Agreement between the UAE and Kazakhstan.

To date the Bank works in Almaty and Astana cities. In 2011 it plans to open one more office in Shymkent.
