Aliya Ospanova quits as head of Center for International Programs
Aliya Ospanova has resigned as the head of the Centre for International Programs, which administers the Bolashak program, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
Ospanova left the post due to transition to another job. Arman Ashkin has been named as the acting head of the Centre for International Programs.
Born in Taldykorgan, Ospanova is a graduate of the Kazakh-British Technical University, Imperial College Business School and Quantic School of Business.
For over 10 years, Aliya Ospanova held senior positions in international companies such as Microsoft, Ericsson, RELX Group (Elsevier) as well as worked in the state and quasi-state entities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, where she was developing state programs on science and education promotion.
