All passengers die in Tehran’s aircraft crash

"All passengers died," disaster and emergency medical management center chairman Massoud Saberinia said, IRIB news reported. A representative of Iran's airline press-service told Irna agency that there were about 48 passengers on board. "There were 8 crew members and 40 passengers on board, including three children. Three children were under 12 years old, director of the airport company," Director of Iran's Airports Company, subsidiary of Iran's Road and Urban ministry, Mohammad Ali Ilkhani said. Saberinia added that all passengers and crew members died. Seven injured were local people. Four people were transported to the hospital within that area. Three people were taken to the Imam Khomenei Hospital. Flight recorders were found to investigate the incident. The representative of Iran's airline press-service confirmed AN-140 aircraft crash, Kazinform refers to Trend.az. A pilot was a Ukrainian citizen. The aircraft was flying to Tabas town. While taking off, the aircraft crashed. The Iran-140 (AN-140) aircraft was owned by Sepahan airline. The flight number was 5915. The aircraft took off at 9:18 from the Mehrabad airport towards Tabas town and crashed at 9:45. The crisis headquarters was created to investigate this incident.
