Alleged robber of Karaganda jewelry store caught in Astana

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - A man who allegedly robbed a jewelry store at the TSUM shopping mall in Karaganda city was detained in Astana.

The Astana police detained the 23-year-old citizen of Karaganda city at a railway station in Astana on March 29. The stolen jewelry items were found in his bag.

Earlier it was reported that the robbers broke into the shopping mall in Karaganda city on March 24. They gained entry by breaking one of the glass doors. The Karaganda police claimed the men took jewelry worth 3 million tenge from one of the boutiques before fleeing the scene.

The suspect was taken into custody.
