Almaty already has 60% of all necessary sports facilities ready for hosting Olympic Games in 2022

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Almaty has 60% of all necessary sports facilities ready for hosting the Olympic Games in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdybek Saparbayev informed.

"We have not stopped preparation for the Olympic Games scheduled for 2022, although being just a candidate city. Now, what we have left is waiting for the decision of the IOC this July. If they decide the Games will be held in Kazakhstan, Almaty is going to have 60% of all the necessary sports facilities by that time. The rest we will build by the time of holding the Games," he noted.
